Diagnoses and stability

This week has been pretty interesting in terms of learning about psychiatric diagnosis.

I’m participating in a huge-scale research study on psychosis. Yesterday I did the diagnostic interview; today I get some more tests (an EEG, maybe an MRI). My therapist is working on this study and I’m excited for her to review the results with me.

The most interesting outcome was that many of my “psychotic” experiences are actually super common. It’s always strange when something very personal shows up on a standardized measure.

Apart from that, I feel fairly stable. I’m on a good med cocktail at the moment. My only worry is weight gain. I need to lose these Seroquel pounds!
